Winter Warmer

over 900 hundred residents from across Hackney attended the Winter Warmer on the 27 November.

Residents got the opportunity mingle with neighbors and find out about the different services and activities accessible to them in the borough.

The infamous event saw a packed schedule that involved a pop up afternoon tea club, a panto performance of Cindyrella.

Gascoyne 2 crafters ran by Debbie and Sharon led a crafting  workshop at the popular event that was a hit amongst residents.

Alongside a complementary hot soup and bread rolls, residents had the opportunity to pick up good bags from one of the 30 stall holders that were at the event.

This Christmas the focus was on the Classic Viennese Waltz. Mr Chan and his dance team led the way as members of the community joyfully followed along. Wick Award used this opportunity to promote our new community research project looking at the experience of older people in the ward.
